2. We have passed the 1000 mile mark.

3. We have completed our second state ( Oregon) and are now in Idaho.

Updataroo

Nick and I have spent the last few days in Bend, Oregon. The day before we covered about 65 miles and ran into a snowstorm and 30 degree temperatures at the top of Mount Bachelor.. un-be-leiavable! During our stay in Bend, we had the chance to stay with Kat and Steve, who were the most increcible hosts any cyclist could ask for (thanks again, Kat and Steve!). They took me on a short trip through Makenzie Pass, which was really beautiful.

After we left Bend yesterday morning, we travelled to Mitchell, passing the Painted Hills along the way. I have a couple pictures up so you all can see them ;) We covered 95 miles yesterday in 90+ degree heat... any time your mileage surpasses the temperature when its that hot, you know you've had a long day. Now we are stopped for lunch just a few miles down from the John Day Fossil Beds and will be putting on about 25 miles before day's end.

Random pictures of Crater Lake

Crater Lake, the new ride, and the path we took to get here

Just posting some new random photos of Nick's and my adventure. We finally made it to Crater Lake! To do so, we climbed about 6500 feet over the last three days and boy does it feel like it... we are doing well and having a great time up here though. The views are phenomenal!

300+ Miles In

I just wanted to give everyone an update: We are now 320 miles into our trip and are in Fortuna, CA, about 90 miles from Oregon. We had a busy and tough first week on the road, but are doing pretty well now. Yesterday we pedalled the most putting in about 65 miles from Piercy to Fortuna. Two days ago I climbed one of the steepest mountains you can imagine. I biked from 200 feet above sea level to 1700 feet!! Hope all is well back home!
